Molten Symmetry was a Photography project, me and some fellow students made.
We wanted to try out a lot with lighting and weird materials. So we got our hands on a substance called "Ferro Fluid" which basically is a liquid made of iron.
We wanted to try out a lot with lighting and weird materials. So we got our hands on a substance called "Ferro Fluid" which basically is a liquid made of iron.
If one were to hold a magnet near the liquid, it transforms into this alien-like, spiky and almost blossom-esk form. This we found extremely intriguing and wanted to give it a literal shot.
What you see here is the end result of that project where we tried to take the best aspects of the colorful lighting to highlight the smooth and shiny edges of the magnetised Ferro Fluid.
